About the Journal
JKMP (Jurnal Kebijakan dan Manajemen Publik) is dedicated to facilitating scholars, researchers, and teachers in publishing original research articles and review articles in the fields of public policy and public management. The journal serves as a platform for disseminating significant findings, insights, and advancements that contribute to the understanding and development of public administration and governance. Covering a wide range of topics, including public policy analysis, public management practices, public service delivery, governance structures, community empowerment, and e-government initiatives, JKMP aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice. By encouraging interdisciplinary research and providing valuable insights and practical applications, JKMP seeks to inform and influence policymakers, public managers, and researchers, ultimately contributing to the betterment of society.
Current Issue
The articles in this edition of the JKMP journal demonstrate strong collaboration among authors from various institutions—ranging from Universitas Andalas and Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta to UCYP University and others—reflecting the establishment of credible national and international networks. Overall, the publications in JKMP Volume 14, Issue 1 (2026) share a strong common thread: the transformation of public governance in the modern era through institutional dimensions, digitalization, and inter-actor collaboration. Furthermore, the articles in this volume address strategic and timely issues, such as persistent challenges in bureaucratic reform, the complexities of collaborative governance in urban waste management, and the effectiveness of digital identity (IKD) services in public administration—which continue to face obstacles related to digital literacy, infrastructure, and other factors. Employing an in-depth empirical approach, the articles not only highlight policy achievements but also critically examine the gap between policy design and field implementation. This is evident in phenomena such as "ritual compliance," resistance to change, and reliance on external resources. Consequently, JKMP serves not merely as a platform for theoretical publication but as a genuine reflection of the complex dynamics of public policy in Indonesia, while offering practical recommendations relevant to the advancement of public administration scholarship and practice.
