Abstract

Food security problems are often caused by several factors, such as climate change, limited agricultural land, inadequate agricultural infrastructure, and unequal distribution of food between regions. The impact of this condition is the emergence of food deficits in several regions, which forces local governments to import rice or other food ingredients from other regions as a temporary solution. This research aims to evaluate the problems faced in food security programs in Indonesia, especially those related to food production deficits at the regional level. The method used is a qualitative method and the results of the research show that food security does not only depend on national production, but is also greatly influenced by the ability of each region to manage agricultural resources and overcome environmental challenges
